This twelve-piece series takes Portsmouth's modernist buildings and reduces them to their bare essentials, stripping each one back until only its most fundamental geometry remains. Spanning well-known landmarks and overlooked buildings alike, some already demolished and others still under threat, each print reduces its subject to stark binary colour combinations, removing context to leave pure structural form. Digital techniques mimic the look of traditional offset lithographic printing, complete with ink bleed and misregistration, giving each work a handmade appearance that plays against the precision of the architecture itself.
